Description
TPMS External Sensor – Light (TEL) and Heavy (TEH)
- External sensors powered by internal battery, designed battery life of 3 – 5 years
- Light sensor fitted to any vehicle with tyre pressure 0 – 87psi
- Heavy sensor fitted to any vehicle with tyre pressure 0 – 188psi
- Calibrates to the set tyre pressure when attached to the tyre valve stem, flashes 3 times for 2 seconds to confirm
- Auto-pairs with in-cab Receiver during journeys and remains on memory until not seen for three journeys
- Communicates with the in-cab Receiver after pairing
- Tyre pressure and temperature monitored continuously
- Frequency of data transmission managed by pressure drop/temperature rise
- Battery level of the sensor is displayed on PC when held against the sensor
- After vehicle is stationary for 15 mins sensors enters 72-hour mode and reduces data transmission frequency
TPMS Internal Sensor – Light (TIL) and Heavy (TIH)
- Internal sensor powered by internal battery, designed battery life of 5 -10 years
- Light sensor fitted to all vehicle <100 psi
- Heavy sensor fitted to all vehicle >100 psi
- Attached to the centre line of the internal flat face of the wheel rim, in line with the tyre valve
- Calibrates to the set tyre pressure when tyre replaced and inflated
- Auto-pairs with in-cab Receiver during journeys and remains on memory until not seen for three journeys
- Communicates with the in-cab Receiver after pairing
- Tyre pressure and temperature monitored continuously
- Frequency of data transmission managed by pressure drop/temperature rise
- Battery level of the sensor is displayed on PC when held against the sensor
- After vehicle is stationary for 15 mins sensors enters 72-hour mode and reduces data transmission frequency
Wheel Loss and Wheel Temperature Sensor (WL/WLM)
- Mini Sensor for car/van and Heavy Sensor for LCV/HGV powered by internal battery, designed battery life of 3-5 years
- Housed in a Zinc coated steel bracket and mounted across two-wheel studs on the outer wheel
- Activated when wheel nuts tightened onto bracket, flashes 3 times
- Auto-pairs with in-cab Receiver during journeys and remains on memory until not seen for three journeys
- Communicates with the in-cab Receiver after pairing
- Detects sensor to wheel rim gap of approximately 1mm (early wheel loss onset) and transmits an alert to the in-cab Receiver enabling driver to take immediate action
- Sensors flashes to indicate which wheel is loose (Alert state)
- Monitors wheel rim temperature and transmits an alert to the in-cab Receiver when temperature > 100°C
- Records wheel temperature throughout the journey and stores the highest recorded temperature reached over the last 24 hours
- Indicates early maintenance issues e.g., brakes binding/not working, hub failure
- Temperatures displayed when PC is held against the sensor
