Woodway Engineering have been supporting Blood Bikes in the UK since 2016 and have recently helped the Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire area (SERV OBN) with the donation of a Whelen Justice lightbar to equip a new Dacia Duster 4×4 Laureate dCi 110 vehicle. The Duster, which was donated to SERV OBN by Dacia, was specifically designed to help the blood bikes’ team access difficult terrain and remote locations where the traditional blood bikes may not be able to reach, and a 4-wheel drive vehicle is required.
Whelen’s ION and Vertex lighting equipment is normally fitted to the Yamaha FJR 1300 bikes but the Duster was a new and very specific vehicle application which required a lightbar solution with the same high quality and effective warning capability as used on the traditional blood bikes.
